The Hoover vacuum cleaner was the brain child of a janitor back in the early 1900′s. While cleaning a rug this janitor discovered a way to pull dust out of the rug by using suction.
He then shared his idea with a friend named Susan Hoover who bought the patent thus creating Hoover Vacuums.
Ever since then Hoover has become a vacuum icon offering many different models of cleaners.
